Scott Kimbrough joined the law firm in October, 1998, and became a partner in 2003. Mr. Kimbrough concentrates his legal practice in litigation in the areas of family law, criminal law, civil litigation, personal injury, probate and estate matters and governmental law. Mr. Kimbrough has been the City Attorney for the City of Austell located in Cobb County since 2003.
Mr. Kimbrough was reared in a military family and primarily grew up in Cobb County. He graduated from Florida State University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance (Golden Key Honorary). After graduating from Florida State University and before attending law school, Mr. Kimbrough worked for the Ernest and Julio Gallo Winery. He began law school in 1995 and graduated from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University earning his Juris Doctor in 1998.
Mr. Kimbrough was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 1998, where he served as a District Representative of the Young Lawyers Division, and is a member of the Cobb County Bar Association, where he has served as the President and past Vice-President of the Young lawyers Section. Mr. Kimbrough is also a member of the American Bar Association. Mr. Kimbrough is currently admitted to practice in all state courts in the State of Georgia, the Court of Appeals of the State of Georgia, the Georgia Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. Mr. Kimbrough is a former member of the Charles Longstreet Weltner Family Law Inn of Court.
Mr. Kimbrough and his wife, Kimbrell, have two sons and reside in Powder Springs, Georgia. They are members of Passion City Church where he and his wife have served as Doorholders and are currently involved in the Unite program as hosts and mentors. In his free time, Mr. Kimbrough enjoys spending time with family, traveling, exercising and hunting.
